Please Read: Salon Policies at Hair Ministry Group Salons in Ipswich

Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our salon policies below prior to booking your appointment with us. We look forward to welcoming you at your nearest Hair Ministry Group location!

Patch Testing Policy

«

It is salon policy for all clients having ANY of the treatments listed below to have a patch test at least 48hrs prior to the treatment. We kindly ask the patch test be booked as close to the appointment as possible.

  • Hair Colour
  • HD brows**
  • Brow/lash tinting
  • Yumi Lash Lift
  • Lash Bomb Lash lift**
  • Lash extensions
  • Microblading
  • Brow Lamination

You require a patch test for the treatments listed above if;

- you are a new client to the treatment at Hair Ministry
- you are an existing client that has not had a patch test within 6 months
- if it is your first treatment returning from lockdown (as COVID can be asymptomatic and with the roll out of the vaccination program we must patch test ALL clients before their first hair colour/beauty treatment from lockdown)

It is manufactures guidelines to patch test again if;

- you are pregnant*
- you are breast-feeding*
- you have had medical/prescription changes since your last treatment
- you have experienced an adverse reaction to COVID or the COVID vaccination

Please be aware the following treatments require a NEW PATCH TEST following a positive test for COVID and following EACH COVID vaccination:

HD Brows**
Brow Lamination**
Microblading
YUMI Lash Lift**
Lash Bomb Lash Lift**

If you have had a vaccination, we will wait at least TWO WEEKS after, before we perform a patch test just in case a reaction presents itself and the cause can be determined. If it is found we do NOT have an up to date patch test on record, then the treatment may have to be adjusted accordingly or we reserve the right to rearrange the appointment for a later date.

Patch Test

If any reaction occurs during the processing time or during the following 48 hours, rinse immediately and a colouration will not be performed. This test represents an important precaution. However, be aware that even if a test has been carried out you may still experience an allergic reaction when colouring the hair. The patch test is not a guarantee of avoiding future allergic reactions. Please consult a doctor if there are any doubts.

**New manufacturers guidelines for YUMI LASH LIFT, LASH BOMB LASH LIFT and HD BROWS & BROW LAMINATION means we can no longer carry out a patch test or these particular services on anybody who is currently pregnant or breastfeeding. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Cancellation Policy

No Show/Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes you may have to cancel an appointment. We kindly request you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. (Hair Extension bookings require 48 hours’ notice of cancellation)

Appointments can be cancelled online with more than 24 hours’ notice.

Anyone who fails to attend an appointment that was secured online without giving notice, and we are unable to contact you to reschedule, will be charged the full appointment amount.

You will be asked to make full payment for any future bookings if you have not attended or failed to give us sufficient notice on more than 2 occasions.

DEPOSITS

Hair Colour Services
Clients will be kindly asked to pay the cost of the colour application time at the consultation appointment.

Beauty Services
Clients will be kindly asked to pay 50% deposit on their first beauty treatment.

Hair Extensions
Clients will be kindly asked to pay the cost of the application time to secure a Hair Extensions
appointment. Please provide at least 48 hours cancellation notice.

Deposits are non-refundable if:

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice is given
  • You fail to attend an appointment without giving notice

Deposits are refundable if:

  • You cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice. (Hair extensions require 48hrs notice of cancellation)
  • If a service or treatment is unsuitable for you or cannot be provided by us for any reason.

DEPOSITS - ONLINE BOOKINGS

ALL hair colour services, and ALL beauty treatments will require a 50% deposit to secure an online booking.

If you are a NEW client making an online booking for ANY service, you will be required to pay a 50% deposit for your first 2 visits.

Deposits are non-refundable if:

Additional Time Policy

Please be advised our prices are based on standard service timings. If a service proceeds to take the stylist longer, due to long or thick hair, or if a large amount of product is required, an additional price of £16 is applied per 15 minutes.

Child Safety Policy

«

Due to the use of sharp tools, hazardous equipment and chemical products we politely ask young children do not wander about the salon unsupervised. We appreciate young children may need to accompany a family member in our beauty treatment rooms, so we ask clients be mindful of possible hazards before entering.
